During awake surgery, you’re fully conscious and in control. This means we can check the contours of the sculpting and make corrections as we go, resulting in a shape that you love.
Intake
Please fill out our intake form and let us know what procedures you are interested in. Our consultants will contact you to gather information such as your health history, history of prior surgery and your goals.
Virtual consultation
Dr. Gruber will evaluate your photos and information and make a plan based on your personal goals. She will create a sketch to approximate the result she expects from your surgery. A financial estimate will also be sent through our custom patient app. Once you have reviewed your plan, our consultants will help you choose a surgery date and arrange your transportation and care.
In-person consultation
Every patient has an in-person consultation. It is usually done the morning of your surgery but can be done at any time prior to surgery. Dr. Gruber always does a virtual consultation to start a surgical plan and the plan is confirmed, adjusted or enhanced based on your in person consult. We are very flexible with the surgical plan and are used to making last minute changes.
Surgery
The day of surgery you will review the surgical plan in detail with Dr. Gruber. We will also review your paperwork. Your medications will be delivered to the surgery center so you will not have to pick them up. You will have photos taken. We then take you to the procedure room where you will have a sterile surgical scrub and lie on a warm surgical table.
Post-Op
Garments are provided. You will return for follow up the next day after your surgery. This is important to be sure that the garment is fitting properly and that your skin has reshaped in a smooth manner. We will provide you with a new garment so that you have 2 sets and can wash one while you wear the other.
